Refunds, Returns & Exchanges Policy

  1. REFUNDS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES
    • Refund Window: Full refunds are available within 72 hours of checkout (payment date).
    • Requests must be submitted in writing to info@leashdropcanine.com within that timeframe.
    • Refunds are processed to the original payment method.
    • After 72 hours, all sales are final. No refunds for unused sessions, expired packages, or partially completed services. Payment constitutes acceptance of these policies.

1.2) NO REFUNDS FOR AGGRESSIVE OR UNSAFE BEHAVIOR
• Dogs showing human-directed aggression or severe separation anxiety may be dismissed at our discretion (examples include growling, lunging, snapping, biting, charging, blocking movement, rigid posture).
• No refunds or credits in these cases. Training is non-transferable to other dogs or owners.

1.3) EXCHANGES OF SERVICES
• Services may not be exchanged once sessions have started.
• Any approved exception is case-by-case and at standard pricing. No exchanges that interrupt continuity or downgrade from regular-priced to discounted programs.

  1. CANCELLATIONS, ATTENDANCE & COMMUNICATION
    2.1) Cancellation Policy
    • Minimum of 24 hours’ written notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
    • Less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows: session is forfeited and cannot be rescheduled/refunded.

2.2) Emergencies
• Verified emergencies reviewed case-by-case. Lack of childcare, traffic delays, or general conflicts are not emergencies.

2.3) Late Arrivals
• Late arrivals may receive a shortened session.

2.4) Contact Information
• Maintain a valid email and active cell number with voicemail for confirmations and updates.
• If we cannot reach you, we may reassign your appointment.

  1. HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
    • Required before training begins (documentation from a licensed veterinarian):
    – Full vaccination series and current boosters
    – Rabies vaccination
    – Deworming and parasite prevention
    – Bordetella vaccination
    – Monthly flea/tick prevention
    – Veterinary exam (within the past year), including fecal test and skin evaluation
    – Trimmed nails and clean coat
    • Dogs showing illness/infestation may be refused until cleared by a veterinarian.
    • Female dogs in heat are not permitted for at least 21 days. No exceptions.

  2. GUESTS, CHILDREN & HANDLERS
    • Only the contract holder and active handlers directly involved in training may attend.
    • No guests, children, friends, or additional dogs.
    • No substitute handlers once a program begins.
    • For safety, do not interact with dogs that are not your own.
    • We are not liable for injuries to individuals who violate these safety policies.

  3. EQUIPMENT & ELECTRONICS
    • Devices must be silenced during sessions; recording/photography requires written consent.
    • Only trainer-approved equipment may be used (no retractable leashes, non-approved e-collars, or unapproved harnesses).

  4. TRAINING RESULTS DISCLAIMER
    • We use humane, proven methods tailored to each dog; however, no specific results or timelines are guaranteed.
    • Success depends on consistent owner participation, adherence to techniques, the dog’s history/health/temperament, and environmental consistency.
    • Ongoing reinforcement beyond your program is required.

  5. PROGRAM EXPIRATION
    • Private Training Packages: complete within 90 days of purchase.
    • Board & Train Programs:
    – Level 1: follow-up sessions expire after 6 months.
    – Level 2 and Level 3: follow-up sessions expire after 1 year.
    • Expired sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  6. PRIVACY & DATA SECURITY
    • We do not store credit card information internally.
    • Personal information is protected and not shared with third parties without written consent.
    • Booking data is used only to provide services and maintain your account.

  7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
    • Participation involves inherent risks. By purchasing services, you agree to release and hold harmless Leash Drop Canine LLC, its owners, trainers, employees, and affiliates from liability for injury, loss, or damage resulting from participation, except in cases of gross negligence.

  8. GOVERNING LAW
    • Policies are governed by Illinois law; venue is Cook County, Illinois. Disputes resolved by binding arbitration unless agreed otherwise in writing.
