LEASH DROP CANNIE LLC

Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking or enrolling in any Leash Drop program or service.

Effective Date: June 1, 2025  ·  Last Updated: May 2025

By booking a service, submitting an intake form, or enrolling in any Leash Drop Canine LLC program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not book or enroll.

SECTION 1

Services Offered

Leash Drop Canine LLC offers the following professional dog training services:

Board & Train Programs — Residential training in four tiers: Puppy Jump Start, Core, Freedom, and Elite

Private Training Sessions — One-on-one sessions conducted at our facility or in-home

Group Training (Groundwork: Obedience & Habits) — A structured 5-week small group program (enrollment by waitlist)

Behavior Assessments — Comprehensive evaluations to assess temperament, triggers, and training needs

Service availability, pricing, and program structure are subject to change. Current pricing and program details are reflected on the respective service pages at leashdropcanine.com.

SECTION 2

Deposits & Payments

Board & Train Deposit

A deposit is required to reserve your dog's spot in any Board & Train program. This deposit goes toward the total program cost.

All Board & Train deposits are strictly non-refundable, with no exceptions. By submitting a deposit, you are securing a dedicated training slot for your dog. Once a deposit is received, that slot is held exclusively for your enrollment and cannot be offered to another client.

Full Balance

The remaining program balance is due prior to or at the start of your dog's Board & Train program, unless a financing arrangement has been confirmed through an approved provider. Failure to remit the remaining balance may result in forfeiture of your reserved slot and your deposit.

Private Sessions & Other Services

Payment for private sessions and behavior assessments is due at the time of booking, unless otherwise arranged. Individual session rates and package pricing are listed on our Private Sessions service page.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Leash Drop Canine LLC does not store payment card information on our servers. By submitting payment, you authorize us to charge the amount due for the services selected.

SECTION 3

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

Board & Train Cancellations

If you need to cancel your Board & Train enrollment, please notify us as soon as possible. As stated above, deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances. If you cancel after the full balance has been paid, refund eligibility for amounts beyond the deposit will be determined on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Leash Drop Canine LLC.

Private Session Cancellations

We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a private session without penalty. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows may result in forfeiture of that session from your package, or a cancellation fee equal to the individual session rate.

Group Training Cancellations

Group training enrollment is non-transferable and non-refundable once a cohort has begun. If you are unable to continue after the first session, please contact us — we will do our best to work with you on available options.

Cancellations Initiated by Leash Drop

In the unlikely event that we must cancel a session due to illness, emergency, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will notify you promptly and reschedule at no additional cost to you.

SECTION 4

Private Session Packages & Expiration

PACKAGE EXPIRATION POLICY

All private session packages — including the 5-session package — expire 90 days from the date of purchase.

Sessions not used within this window are forfeited without refund or credit. We encourage clients to schedule sessions promptly after purchase to make the most of their investment and maintain momentum in their dog's training.

Extensions may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Leash Drop Canine LLC, and only in documented circumstances beyond the client's control.

Our recommendation: Schedule all sessions at the time of purchase. Consistent, timely training produces significantly better behavioral outcomes than sporadic sessions spread over extended periods.

SECTION 5

Owner Responsibility & Follow-Through

Dog training is a partnership. The work done during any Leash Drop program — whether Board & Train, private sessions, or group training — is only as effective as the follow-through practiced at home.

You are an essential part of your dog's training. By enrolling in any Leash Drop program, you commit to actively learning and consistently applying the techniques, routines, and expectations provided by your trainer. Owner participation is not optional — it is required for lasting results.

Specifically, clients agree to:

Attend all scheduled transition and handoff sessions following a Board & Train program

Review and implement all written guidance, homework, and maintenance protocols provided

Apply consistent structure, boundaries, and reinforcement at home between sessions

Communicate honestly with your trainer about what is and isn't working

Leash Drop Canine LLC cannot be held responsible for behavioral regression or unmet expectations that result from a lack of owner consistency, follow-through, or engagement after the conclusion of a program or session series.

Refrain from undoing or contradicting the training framework outside of sessions

SECTION 6

Results Disclaimer

Leash Drop Canine LLC is committed to delivering professional, structured, and evidence-informed training. We are proud of the outcomes our clients achieve and stand behind the quality of our work.

However, individual results vary. Dog behavior is influenced by a complex combination of factors including — but not limited to — the dog's age, breed, temperament, prior experience, level of socialization, medical history, and the consistency of the home environment.

No specific behavioral outcome can be guaranteed. While we set realistic expectations during the intake and assessment process, any projected outcomes are illustrative of typical results and are not contractual commitments. Success requires a genuine partnership between the trainer, the dog, and the owner.

By enrolling in any Leash Drop program, you acknowledge and accept that results are contingent upon your active participation and that no guarantees of specific outcomes have been made to you.

SECTION 7

Dog Eligibility & Program Placement

Leash Drop Canine LLC reserves the right to determine whether a dog is an appropriate candidate for any program. Program placement is determined based on the behavior assessment, intake information, and trainer evaluation.

All dogs enrolling in Board & Train must be current on required vaccinations. Documentation may be requested prior to drop-off.

Dogs with a known history of severe aggression, bite history, or other significant risk factors will be evaluated individually. Leash Drop reserves the right to decline enrollment if, in the trainer's professional judgment, a program is not appropriate or safe for the dog, the trainer, or other dogs in the facility.

Group training (Groundwork) requires dogs to pass a behavioral screening prior to enrollment. Dogs exhibiting reactive or aggressive behavior toward other dogs or people will be redirected to private sessions or Board & Train as more appropriate alternatives.

If a dog is determined to be ineligible for a program after deposit or payment has been submitted, Leash Drop will work with the client to identify an appropriate alternative service. Refund eligibility in this circumstance will be determined at our discretion.

SECTION 8

Health, Safety & Liability

Owner Warranties

By enrolling your dog in any Leash Drop program, you represent and warrant that:

Your dog is in good general health and cleared by a licensed veterinarian to participate in training activities

Your dog is current on all required vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and bordetella

You have disclosed all known behavioral history, including any prior biting incidents or aggression, accurately and completely

You are the legal owner or authorized agent of the dog

Liability for Injuries or Incidents

While Leash Drop Canine LLC takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of all dogs in our care, you acknowledge that dog training involves inherent risks, including the possibility of injury to dogs, trainers, or third parties.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Leash Drop Canine LLC, its owner, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your dog's behavior, undisclosed behavioral history, or any incident resulting from your failure to comply with these Terms.

Emergency Medical Care

In the event your dog requires emergency veterinary care while in our custody, Leash Drop Canine LLC will make reasonable efforts to contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached, we reserve the right to authorize necessary emergency veterinary treatment. All veterinary costs incurred on your dog's behalf are your sole responsibility.

SECTION 9

Media & Photo Consent

Owner Warranties

By enrolling in any Leash Drop program, you grant Leash Drop Canine LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to photograph and/or video record your dog during training for use in marketing materials, social media content, testimonials, and other promotional purposes.

Photos and videos may be shared on platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and our website. Your dog's name and program type may be referenced. Personal identifying information about you (the owner) will not be shared without your explicit consent.

If you do not wish for your dog to be featured in any media content, please notify us in writing prior to the start of your program. We will honor all opt-out requests.

Contact us first: Most concerns can be resolved quickly through direct communication. Reach out to us at team@leashdropcanine.com before pursuing any formal action.

If informal resolution is not possible, disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

SECTION 12

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Leash Drop Canine LLC's total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Leash Drop Canine LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or emotional distress — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Illinois law.

SECTION 13

Changes to These Terms
